fuckingsculptures:

SIGNAL BOOST: Oakland- Bikesexuals-and all those who care about community! Fucking Sculptures is going to take a moment to get personal. Our community was recently rocked by the violent assault on Eli Reyes- a glowing person full of inspiration, love, creativity and kindness. Eli was violently assaulted while riding her bicycle on 4/29/13.
The attack has left her with a broken femur which required surgery, mounting medical bills, and emotional trauma that will take much longer to heal than any of her physical injuries.
What does this have to do with us? Aside from the fact that Eli is a close friend and supporter of Fucking Sculptures through her gallery Moco, we believe that everyone deserves to feel safe and good in their body. This assault has taken away the sense of safety and sexiness (yes, survivors of trauma still want to feel sexy) that Eli had in her body. We talk a lot about being body positive. Well, helping someone to reconnect with their body, physically and emotionally, is about as body-posi as it gets.
Please support Eli Reyes. Spread this message so that she can put her energy into healing instead of into worrying about hospital bills.
Love and gratitude,
Fucking Sculptures
